Dropbox-style sync for your own cloud storage

Online-only files, offline folders, share links and team permissions — on a DigitalOcean Space you own.

Works like Dropbox, in Finder

Your files show up in Finder. Keep big folders online-only and they download when you open them — or make them available offline.

Share a link in one click

Right-click any file or folder and choose Copy Dropmoxie link. Add a password or an expiry date if you like — it's free.

Team folders with real permissions

Invite your team for free. Choose who can edit, who can only view, and which folders someone can't see at all.

Your storage, your bill

Files live in your own DigitalOcean Space at their real paths. No lock-in: any S3 tool can read them.

How it works

  1. Create a free account.
    It takes a minute.
  2. Connect your Space.
Paste a DigitalOcean API token and we set up the bucket, versioning and a key just for Dropmoxie.
  3. Install the Mac app and sign in.
Your files appear in Finder, online-only until you open them.

Moving from Dropbox?

Dropmoxie copies your Dropbox folder up to your Space while Dropbox keeps running, then swaps them over. Your old folder is kept as a backup, and a link at the old location keeps paths in your apps working.

Nothing is ever deleted from your old Dropbox folder.

What it costs

Questions

Who pays for storage?

You do, directly to your storage provider — Dropmoxie never charges for storage. With DigitalOcean Spaces that's $5 a month for the first 250 GiB, plus 2 cents per extra GiB (October 2026 prices).

Do team members need to pay?

No. Only the team owner needs Pro. Invite as many people as you like.

What happens if Pro runs out?

Your team keeps working and nobody loses access to files. You just can't invite new people or change folder permissions until you renew.
