Terms of Service

1. What Dropmoxie is

Dropmoxie is a Mac app and an online service that syncs files between your Macs and cloud storage that you own and control (for example a DigitalOcean Space). These terms apply when you use the app, the website or share links.

2. Your account

Give us accurate details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
You need to be at least 16 years old to use Dropmoxie.
Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

3. Your storage and your files

Your files stay yours. We don't claim any ownership of them.
You connect storage you control and pay your storage provider directly. Their terms apply to that storage.
You give us permission to handle your files only as needed to run the service — for example to stream a file to someone who opens one of your share links.
Keep your own backups of anything important. Sync copies mistakes too.

4. Share links and teams

Anyone who has a share link can open it until it expires or you delete it. You're responsible for what you share.
Team owners decide who can see and edit each folder in their Space, and are responsible for their team's use of Dropmoxie.
We may disable links or accounts used to break the law or these terms.

5. Plans and payments

Dropmoxie Free costs nothing. Dropmoxie Pro costs $10 a year and is paid by the team owner. If Pro lapses, your team keeps working, but you can't invite people or change permissions until you renew. Payments aren't live yet; we'll publish payment and refund terms before they are.

6. Fair use

Don't use Dropmoxie to share malware, illegal content or material that infringes someone else's rights, to attack other systems, or to get around our limits and security.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Dropmoxie running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or improve the service, and we'll tell you about important changes to these terms before they take effect.

8. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your account page; your files stay in your own storage. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you why where we can.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Dropmoxie is provided "as is" and we aren't liable for indirect losses or for data lost from storage we don't control.
