Privacy Policy

The short version

• Your file bytes travel directly between your Mac and your own bucket. We don't keep copies of your files.
• Share-link downloads and previews pass through our servers so we can check the link — they're streamed, not stored.
• We store your storage access key encrypted, and only use it to run Dropmoxie for you.
• No ads, no selling or renting your data.

What we store

• Account: your name, email address and a scrypt hash of your password (never the password itself).
• Sign-ins: for each browser and Mac: its name, browser type, IP address and when it was last used, so you can review and sign them out.
• Storage connection: provider, region, bucket name and endpoint, and the access key — encrypted with a key unique to your Space.
• File index: file and folder names, sizes, dates and who changed what. Syncing needs this; file contents stay in your bucket.
• Sharing and teams: your share links and their settings and view counts, team members, invites and folder permissions.
• Plan: your plan and its dates. When payments launch, the payment provider handles card details — we never see them.

How we use it

To run and secure Dropmoxie (including limiting repeated failed sign-ins), to send account emails (verification, password resets, team invites and security notices) and to fix problems. We don't send marketing email without asking.

Who else is involved

• Cloudflare hosts the Dropmoxie service and its databases.
• SendGrid delivers our emails.
• Your storage provider (for example DigitalOcean) holds your files, under their own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Deleted files can be restored for 30 days, from versions kept in your own bucket. If you delete your account we remove your personal details, sign out your devices, revoke your links and disconnect your Spaces — your bucket and its files are left untouched. Security logs are kept for a limited time.

Your choices

You can change your name, email and password, sign out devices, delete share links and delete your account from your account page at any time.
